Why 13? Not sure. This all stems to a response to Jenny's and Momster's blogs. So here's some things you may (or may not) know about me...
1. I have a tattoo. It's a daisy on my upper back that I had done while I was in college at UTSA. Still don't regret it.
2. I hate slimy things. Mushrooms, oysters, eggs, etc. Can't eat them. Don't even like to look at them. Yuck!
3. Pregnancy does not agree with me. Besides feeling awful every day, the constant vomiting quite frequently lends itself to dehydration and trips to the urgent care clinic and the hospital. Don't think I can do it again.
4. It took me almost 30 years to find my calling. I've been a receptionist, a veterinary nurse, and a preschool teacher. Then I found photography. I was meant to be Shutter-Happy.
5. We don't have cable. We don't have TIVO. There is no big screen or flat screen TV in the house. We watch very little television. But I do frequently view- "Guiding Light," "Oprah," "ER," and "Amazing Race."
6. I love the water. Put me near or in a river, a lake, or the beach and I'm a happy girl.
7. I'm a chocoholic. And it seems to have gotten worse since Evan was born. Maybe this is why I just can't get that baby weight off?
8. I hate clutter. I like to have very few things, and everything has its place. I throw everything not necessary away. But the hubby keeps everything. "You never know when we'll need this ____ (insert any word here)," he says. Argh!
9. I'm proud of the fact I'm best friends with two wonderful people I've known since I was little. Myk Simpson (formerly Mike Plunk) once pulled my pigtails on the playground in kindergarten and was my boyfriend in 5th grade. And Marli Carollo (formerly Marli Hoelscher) has been a good friend since middle school.
10. I don't know anyone's phone number, not even my own mobile number. Are cell phones with their easy-dial contact lists to blame?
11. I LOVE to mow! I don't know if it's the solitude, the smell of fresh-cut grass, or the feel of accomplishment I get from the chore, but I just love it.
12. I LOVE pickle juice! Dill. I'll frequently drink it straight out of the jar. Mmmmmhhhhh...
13. I'm fine with our home being a little bit dirty, a little dusty. I like having a happy home. That's more important to me than sparkling floor and sinks.
