Daisy Renee Anderson lived eight happy years with our family. She bravely battled cancer and tumor removal surgeries for six months. And then we had to make the very tough decision to have her put to sleep this morning after a couple of miserable days.
She will always be remembered as a very loving, loyal, smart, and obedient dog. She will forever be seen in photos enjoying her times at home, camping, and at the beach.

Congratulations to Ben and Morgan on their preschool graduation! We are so proud of both of you- for having a great school year, for your accomplishments, and for putting on a wonderful end-of-the-year program this morning.
And to add to the excitement of the day- Ben lost his first tooth! How cool! He is so excited and cannot wait to tell everyone, can’t wait until the tooth fairy comes tonight!

I had a fun night out with the girls a couple of weeks ago. Erica organized a neat evening for us to celebrate the book she gave us all for Christmas- Eat, Pray, Love. We started with appetizers at Naple’s, had dinner at Sarika’s, and then ended with dessert at her house. Fun! Nathan, Ben, and I then spent a morning out at the Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg. Many different flowers were in bloom and the butterfly garden was gorgeous, filled with lots of beautiful plants and species of butterflies. Ben and I got a tour of Curington Elementary this past week. The things he seems most excited about are riding the bus and eating in the cafeteria. But I thought the library and the music room were also very cool. And then Ben and I attended a MOPS playdate. Ben was the oldest there, with everyone else being around two years old and younger. It was so great to see him playing with and nurturing those little ones!
My dearest girl friends spent an afternoon last weekend celebrating our upcoming baby boy. Katy, Paula, and Erica threw a beautiful and fun baby shower. And Melissa and Mandy were able to attend. Thanks to all of you for the diapers and gifts and for making this baby already feel so loved.
And this weekend was a memorable one. Last night I attended the Girly Girl banquet at the church with many of the girl friends. And they all brought their daughters. It was a wonderful evening- a celebration of womanhood and friendship. And today the boys surprised me with cards and gifts that Ben made at school and Grandmom’s house, a birdhouse they built themselves, a homemade waffle breakfast, and a delicious four-course lunch at the Limestone Grille. What a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!!! I am so blessed.
