When Nathan got back in town from Colorado, his parents also arrived for the weekend. So we all spent a great day together at Fiesta Texas, checking out all the gouls and goblins during their last weekend of Fright Fest. Then Ben and I spent a great day out at the Medina Love Creek Orchard with our friends Madison, Morgan, and Landon. The kids enjoyed the usual- the hay maze, petting zoo, pony rides, and hay ride. The following night Ben and I drove up to Rackspace to meet up with Nathan and attend Racktoberfest. Between the great food and the jumping castle, Ben was set for the night. Nathan stayed home the following day and took Ben to the Halloween storytime (where they ended up getting their photo in the newspaper). And then it was off to our church’s trunk-or-treat and then around the neighborhood for trick-or-treating. Ben’s costume got an overwhelming response- everyone LOVED it!!!
Into November, Nathan and I made it to our first doctor’s appointment and got to see the baby. Despite how I’m feeling and all I’m going through, it was reassuring to see the baby is healthy and strong. We were all able to make it to Landon’s party to help him celebrate his second birthday. Ben was tickled when he got to be line leader at school and then got to bring home one of the class “pets” for the weekend. We finally made it out to Lost Maples for this year’s family portraits. Then we spent Thanksgiving Day with my parents and then drove up to Ft. Worth to spend the rest of the holiday weekend with Nathan’s parents.
I’m not sure how we’re doing it, but we’re sure having a lot of fun between the days spent in bed and despite the trip to the emergency clinic. Praise God for good days!
We got exciting news last month, just in time for my birthday- that I’m pregnant! A few miserable weeks of morning sickness and a doctor’s appointment later… and it looks like we’re going to have the new addition arrive in June.
