The trees are greening; the flowers are blooming; the weeds are flourishing- it’s spring! I don’t think there’s a better time of year (yes, even despite those darned weeds)!
To kick off the start of the warm weather, we had our first ladies’ night out in quite a while. Mandy, Marli, Melissa, and I spent an entire evening eating, drinking, and gossiping- fun! Nathan, Ben, and I walked in our third Race for the Cure, contributing to the almost 30,000 participants and the more than $1 million raised for breast cancer research, awareness, and treatment! We also helped cousin Brandon celebrate his 7th birthday with a very cool bowling birthday party. It was Ben’s first time to bowl, and he had a blast! Ben got to celebrate Easter a week early when Boerne provided a great opportunity for the local kids to hunt for eggs, meet the Easter bunny, and play on the new playground out at City Park. Ben and I spent a day at Fiesta Texas, picking up our season passes, and getting ready for all the days we will spend there during the summer. And yesterday we celebrated Easter at my grandparents. As usual, Grandma went all-out with more food than we could all possibly eat, cake, a pinata, and an egg hunt. And what Easter could be complete without a few rides on their new golf cart? The boys (Ben, Hondo, and Brandon) had a fantastic time!
