After kicking-off the new year with a fun evening of sparklers in the backyard, enjoying a wonderful bar-b-q at the Luebke’s new home, and helping our neighbor and friend Lauren celebrate her fourth birthday, it was time to make some big changes for 2007…
After living in this house for four years, we realized it was time to start in on some more of those projects we’ve been wanting to do to make this house more of our own. And it all started with a new rug that I bought for the living room. With the addition of the dark rug, we decided we needed to paint the walls brown and give the furniture a darker stain. Before we knew it, we had decided to make the kitchen brighter and painted it golden. Now we’re thinking the kitchen cabinets may be stained or painted next. We have desperately needed new paint on the exterior of the house and hope to do that very soon. Nathan is busy working on a deck design which we may be able to afford and find the time for this year. We’re planning out the remodeling of the garage for my studio. Then we’ll be free to make the old office back into a nice guest room or into a cute nursery. And last on the list, wood floors throughout the house when we can gather up the money next year. And I’m sure there will be lots more projects that pop up within all of these planned to-dos. Like I said, projects galore!
