A new home, new baby, new jobs, and new horizons are something to celebrate! Just one month ago, we helped John and Marli move into their first house. And just a couple of weeks later, that home was filled with the sounds of a new baby’s cry. Congratulations to the both of you! We are so excited that you’ve chosen to make San Antonio your home and thrilled to welcome Robert into our family! And congratulations to Marisa who has taken the giant leap to pick up and move to make a new life for herself and Jayden. We are so proud of you and wish you all the best. And we are so happy for Myk, who is still blazing through school with flying colors and has just landed a wonderful managerial job, with a real office to boot! May your successes take you far!

Ben is still a joy (and such a hoot!). He’s been busy this summer playing cars and trucks, playing trains, learning his colors, looking at books, playing with friends, swinging, playing in the sandbox, learning to pedal his tricycle, learning to swim, etc. He’s become quite a polite little kid, using please and thank you and saying “bless you.” He now loves to talk on the phone to anyone and everyone; he still loves to vacuum and help with laundry; he still enjoys his Sunday School class; and he has found he loves to tell knock-knock jokes. Business has been great, with a consistent string of photo sessions, orders, and happy clients. A few changes: I just added quite a selection of new print sizes to my price list; I’m going to be adding a new product (photo purses) this week; and I’m looking into a new frame supplier. I just bought Photoshop CS2 and will be attending a Photoshop conference next month to help me learn more photo editing tricks. And last, but certainly not least, I was just voted in as one of the top five photographers in all of Kendall County in The Boerne Star’s Best of the Best Contest! |
What a wonderful summer we had! Despite the heat and lack of rain, I certainly can’t complain about not having our fair share of fun things to do. Since my last article we have made plenty of trips to the library’s storytime, the zoo, Fiesta Texas, and Sea World. We also helped Madison celebrate her third birthday; I became a member of our church; we attended several Cibolo Nature Center concerts and the Boerne Village Band concerts; our neighborhood had a successful National Night Out; I attended Marli’s baby shower; Marisa and Jayden came into town and stayed with us a few days; we walked in the Race for the Crown; we had a wonderful trip down to the beach and to my grandparents’ house; we helped Marli and John move into their first home; we attended the Kendall County Fair parade, livestock show, and carnival; Nathan and I celebrated our five-year anniversary; we camped at Garner; and we helped Morgan celebrate her third birthday!
