DSC_4254_copyI’m still not sure where the time went. Sometimes it still sneaks up on me that- “Wow, I’m a Mom.” But all of a sudden, that’s changed to- “Oh my gosh, I’m the mom of a 2-year-old!” I can’t believe how quickly he’s grown, how quickly the days passed before our eyes.

We have done so much since my last article at Christmas time. On top of doing our usual errands, going to gymnastics, going to storytime, and attending music class… we also built Ben’s swing set, attended Uncle Andy and Aunt Ann’s 60th birthdays/ 40th anniversary party, made a day trip to Lost Maples, helped Bobby and Loretta eat their birthday cakes, and celebrated Valentine’s Day with a nice dinner and cookie-decorating. Ben has also started attending Sunday School (which he loves) while I attend church. And I’ve been busy- business has picked up beautifully since the after-Christmas slump.

And yesterday was Ben’s birthday party. While the rain kept us indoors, we had a wonderful time. All of Ben’s best friends were able to make it; many of our favorite family members were able to attend also. We had a bug hunt around the house and a ladybug release on the back porch. The cake was yummy and the presents were a-plenty. Thanks so much to everyone who was able to share the day with us- we loved having all of you here. And a big thank you to all who were so generous to help with Ben’s playground fund- Nathan cannot wait to get the lookout built with the money!
