D2X_9502Life sits still for no one- especially us! In the time since my last article, we have been to several concerts and a gala out at the Cibolo Nature Center; Myk came to visit and we made trips to the zoo, the mall, and the beach; Nathan and I celebrated our 4-year anniversary; we attended the Kendall County Fair festivities and parade; we attended Comfort’s birthday party and parade; we enjoyed the Agricultural Museum BBQ fundraiser; we made day-trips to both Garner and Choke Canyon with my parents; we attended Madison’s and Morgan’s 2nd birthday parties; and we made a trip out to Medina to their orchard and pumpkin patch.

The highlights for me during all this time was business picking up- prints are being ordered, merchandise is being bought, and appointments are being made! The Boerne Star also highlighted Shutter-Happy in last Friday’s issue with a photo of me and an article about the business! And certainly cherished above all, I celebrated my 30th birthday with most of my favorite people in the whole wide world- Nathan and Ben took me out to a wonderful dinner on Thursday night and on Saturday night I was surrounded by over a dozen wonderful women for a ladies’ night filled with fantastic food and conversation! *Thanks ladies for making that night so special*

Ben’s highlights have been astounding. There is now a slew of words and phrases he understands and can respond to. And his vocabulary that he can say amazes us. He can name all kinds of vehicles, animals, foods, shapes, and friends and family; he can count to ten; he can say most of his abc’s! Still a very active little boy, we stay out and about either going to the park, riding the tricycle down the street, or playing in the backyard. Still gifted (proclaimed by his parents and grandmas), we attend story time at the library every Wednesday and now attend a music class at church every Friday. What this little boy can do! And what joy he brings to our lives! We are truly blessed!
