More joy abounds in our house amid our exhausting schedules. I don’t know if we’ve ever had more demanding yet fulfilling months than these last two, with Nathan and I both starting the biggest projects of our lives. Nathan spent the last several months preparing for and has now started a monumental redesign of Rackspace’s website. And as most of you know, I started up Shutter-Happy and began working as a contributing photographer for The Boerne Star.
Ben’s been busy too, growing up way too quickly. While still sweet, cuddly, and cute, he is becoming a big and independent kid. He no longer just walks to his destinations- he runs. He has started perfecting daredevil moves, including climbing out of his crib. His vocabulary gets larger every day, adding more words he can say and understand. And his pretend play skills amaze me- we can see his imagination blossoming before our eyes.
And among all those important events, we also attended concerts out at the Cibolo Nature Center; made it to Jeanna’s graduation party; enjoyed the annual family reunion; we made it to several of the German Village Band’s concerts; we enjoyed the Berges Fest parade; we made a trip out to Pedernales to celebrate Father’s Day; we stayed busy 4th of July weekend with a parade and bbq, the fireworks display, and a day-trip to Llano; and we camped at Port A for a weekend on the beach.
