After having such a frenzied year, it was wonderful to wind everything down with the Christmas holiday. We spent several hours in town, enjoying the Christmas parade and the Dickens on Main celebration. Then we spent a very quiet Christmas Eve and morning here at home, just the three of us. And then we had a wonderful lunch with a great group of family members who could make it over.
And looking forward to the wonderful year ahead, we’ll be celebrating some big things- both my parents’ 50th birthdays; Ben’s first birthday; my parents will be moving up here to “Ben Country” and celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary; we’ll be making a trip to the mountains; we’ll be attending the annual Johnson/LaCross family reunion; I will be turning 30; and then Myk will be joining me in the big 3-0!
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. And we hope the new year brings lots of wonderful surprises.
Over the last couple of months we’ve attended two weddings; we attended Mandy’s baby shower; Ben celebrated Halloween with a little trick-or-treating; we made a trip to Corpus to go to the aquarium; we drove up to Ft. Worth to spend Thanksgiving with Debbie, Larry, and Jenny; and we’ve had my dad move in with us for a few months.
